Situated within a peaceful unspoilt village with family pub Post Office/general store and children s play area on the village green yet an ideal holiday base to explore south Somerset and Dorset s famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast (12 miles). You will have a vast choice of country walks from your doorstep and cycle routes to enjoy and explore. Chard is 4 miles away and has a wide variety of shops interesting buildings and is well served with places to eat and drink. Forde Abbey is 1 mile away a splendid country house with extensive gardens tea room craft shop and plant sales. The excellent beaches of Charmouth and Lyme Regis are a 25 minutes drive. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 master double with TV en-suite shower room and WC 1 further double room and 1 twin bedroom with TV. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Care must taken with children as all of the windows upstairs are at floor level. Separate WC off the utility room. Lounge: with TV/DVD surround sound system and woodburner (first basket of logs included). Kitchen/diner: with solid oak units range cooker which takes pride of place integrated fridge freezer dishwasher microwave dining table and TV. Utility room: accessed through the kitchen via one step up with washing machine and sink. Outside: large enclosed garden perfect for children to play and patio area with seating. Amenities: roadside parking for 1 car. Bed linen electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. Towels for hire. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets. Location: beach 15 miles shop and pub within walking distance. Arrival: 3pm.

Try and make the trip to Brownsea Island, a fabulous nature reserve here. Inland on your holiday in Dorset you can enjoy the rolling hills that are so characteristic of the county and explore what has become known as “Thomas Hardy Country”.
The county town of Dorchester, with its High Street lined with 17th and 18th Century houses, is little changed from Hardy’s day, while the pretty town of Shaftesbury has been used as a location in countless films set in Olde England.
